Twin Sisters - 8" Block

I'm participating in the Traveling Bee-utiful Quilt Swap on Threadbias, and received Blue Fig Quilts' starter block first.

 

Blue Fig Quilts sent a carpenter's star in yellows and oranges, asking that each of us contribute in such a manner that she ends up with something very like the Moda Modern Building Blocks sampler. Our limitation is that she would like us to stick to the exisitng color palette, and make her quilt as sunshiny as possible.

 

Luckily for Blue Fig Quilts, I've no shortage of yellow and orange in my stash!
