Western Plantain-eater

This was a good canididate to be the most noisy and clumpsy bird in the Gambian forest! The Western Plantain-eater Crinifer piscator was a common species all along our route in Gambia January 2013. This streching bird was photographed in a fig tree with ripe fruits in Abuko National Park, along with the two other Turacos of Gambia, Green Tauraco persa and Violet Turacos Musophaga violacea.
