Siberian Dunlin

This is a Dunlin of the long-billed Siberian race sakhalina. This individual is in full breeding plumage with the black belly patch and rufous spangled upperparts. I'm pretty sure this one's a female as males tend to have very pale faces. I photographed this one on Kharaginskiy Island just off Siberia's Kamchatka coast. I laid flat on the tundra and managed to isolate the bird against both the background and the foreground with a bit of bonus bokeh too.
