My wife and I went to downtown Toronto today. We manned a booth to raise funds for the Pugalug Rescue group. They're a group of volunteers who take pugs from a variety of challenging situations, foster and adopt them into good homes.
Some pugs are saved from puppy mills. Some are given up because the family can't care for their cherished pug anymore.
Our pug, Clara, was a rescue from a home where the owner developed life-threatening allergies. She was heart-broken when she had to give her up. But we gave her a loving home.
Clara's original owner is Christine Tier. She's a lovely woman, with tons of talent.
