Speckled Pigeon (right) Columba guinea and 2 African Mourning Doves

This species was found commonly all across Ethiopia in a wide range of habitats. Its range spreads westward from the Horn of Africa to Senegal and south to Uganda with another population in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. These birds were photographed on the edge of Lake Awasa approximately 40kms south of Negele.
