Graphium antheus (Large Striped Swordtail) (B00082, GH00053)

I encountered them both in Shai Hills Resource Reserve and Bobiri Forest Reserve. Common in Shai Hill, always puddling and very active, but scarce in Bobiri. All individuals were not pristine.

It can be easily distinguished from the similar common species Graphium policenes (Small Striped Swordtail or Common Swordtail) by checking the bars in the cell of Graphium antheus: they are S-shaped.

In Bobiri, I saw both species mudpuddling together, but Graphium policenes was in great numbers and Graphium antheus was quite few.
