One thing about the wats around Angkor is the relatively free access that is given. There aren’t any hand rails from steep steps or from going over the edges. The bitter side to this is that every surface is there to be walked on, sat against, and touched. I’m sure the wearing down is adding to the general disrepair of this 10th century site.
