After a great workout I decided to checkout the Tower Bridge area since I haven't really made an effort to capture images of Sacramento. I usually prefer some dramatic clouds, but I thought if anything I can scout the area out.
Got there about 10 minutes before sunset and tried to look for a good spot. There were a half dozen other photogs there and I realized it was Joe Chan who was teaching a class to other photogs. Searching for a spot, I saw that the river level was fairly low so I was able to get down near the sand area. I liked that I was able to get an unobstructive view of the bridge. I set up the tripod, paid close attention to my leveling and tried my best to avoid the dreaded vertical distortion. There were a few decent interesting foreground elements neaer the water and I would have been in heaven if I had a 17 and 24 TSE lenses at my disposal :) After looking through my shots I realized that the blue hour photos were much more appealing. Wish i stayed an extra 15 minutes for a few extra compositions, but there's always next time...
I'll also have some extra free time in the next coming weeks so I'm planning to put an extra effort to go out and enjoy photography and hopefully capture a few decent images along the way.
