Sunwapta Flow

Jasper National Park, Alberta

The glacier-fed Sunwapta River flows down from the mountains and meanders along its flood plain. It will soon join the Athabasca River and their combined waters will eventually make its way to the Arctic Ocean. Although the name Sunwapta means "turbulent water", it's a very mellow river right now.
