Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe)

Jericho, Vancouver.

 

The Eastern Phoebe breeds in eastern North America. It winters in the southernmost United States and Central America.

 

This bird is very rare in Vancouver.

 

According to Melissa: "This is the 1st winter record for Metro Vancouver. The last confirmed sighting of this species in Metro Vancouver was Carlo Giovanella's bird at Surrey Lake Park in June 2006."
