On April 3, a flock of 10-15 Cedar Waxwings, Bombycilla cedrorum, descended on a male Silver Maple, Acer saccharinum, near Clifton Springs, NY, and began eating the flowers. Two of the birds seemed to be a pair as one fanned its tail and the other preened its belly. © Dave Spier [low-resolution preview] photo filename: Waxwings,Cedar_CS,NY_©DaveSpier_D043080p
