common iora feeds Banded Bay Cuckoo
This is a one stone kills 2 birds shot showing the lucky big fat cuckoo being fed by its victim parent, a common iora. The pathetic parent has to work to the bone to cope with its oversized baby's demand for food and more food, inside and outside of the nest. But amazingly the parent doesn't seem to mind at all, Nature is wonderful.
This impostor baby has been fed by the iora since he was hatched and who knows how many original iora's eggs/baby he has destroyed by pushing them out of the nest during its foster parent's absence. Strangely its foster parent fail to notice this unusual counterfeit and continue to love him like its own, giving him the best parental care they could afford. Perhaps the parents are hardwired to feed anything that contain in the nest regardless of its appearance.
This overgrown baby would continue to receive food until eventually he realise that he is big enough and call it a day, say goodbye to its foster parent and apologise for the murder of the iora's chicks. He then starts to lead his own life as a cuckoo until the frightening cycle of nesting begins once again. Somebody somewhere will have to bring up the next monster.
