52/52 for the group T189ers weekly alphabet challenge

This week's theme: Z is for Zen

Zen is not an easy thing to photograph, so I took my statuette of Gyanyin out for a morning walk, looking for a suitable peaceful place for her to meditate in.

Guanyin is a very popular bodhisattva in East Asia and her name is variously spelled Guanyin, Kuan Yin, Gwan-eum and (in Japan) Kannon. She is important to Zen Buddhists, so I hope she counts for this week's topic. :)

What I hadn't realised, until I looked up Guanyin just now, was that Canon cameras are named after Guanyin/Kannon.
