This was a shot to try a few things out - using a higher aperture (f/11 in this case), as well as pulling something in the background into recognition instead of being a sheer blurry creamy mass of bokeh.
If I could have pulled back a hair more I would of, but 75mm and limited room made this the best angle I could for this.shot. If I could have burrowed into the embankment I was crouched on to get a better frame I would have.
Regardless, it still came out decent, and shows off just how nifty this lens can be even stopped way down while in its 'close focus' mode.
The bridge in the background is the Central Maine Railroad bridge that spans the Kennebec near the Two Cent and Ticonic Bridges here in town - its actually one of my favorite subjects so is usually in a lot more focus than this.
