Scenic Panning Video
This spot is Kempton Ledge in Lake Minnewaska State Park in Ulster County New York. An easy two half mile hike for a younger person. Not so easy if you are overweight, over 60 and suffer from arthritis and tendonitis like me. But my way of doing things is to chug down some binary chain amino acids, turmec and extra strength Tylenol and not worry about how much it's going to hurt afterwards later. Still it was a fun hike as I hit the trail and heavy overcast clouds covered the sky even though the morning weather report was sunny skies all day. But luckily for me as I got to this viewpoint the skies opened up and it was good lighting again for about two hours as I set up my tripod and ate my lunch of trail mix and jerky. Now as I write this the next day my body hurts in too many spots but it was worth it especially since I haven't done any new photography in a while. Still as someone who has always enjoyed hiking since I was a teenager it saddens me to know I do not have many years of hiking left as age catches up with me.
