Shot at the bazaar in Namangan. Stands are arranged by type of produce, so all the nut and dried fruit sellers are in the same place, so people can shop for the best price and quality. My favorite were the apricot pits, covered in ash from how they were cooked. We don't eat apricot pits here in the US, but Aziza told me that the best quality ones are the smallest ones (which are the pits this man is showing to his customers). To me, they taste like much more almondy almonds. Like salty, ash-covered marzipan.
