Goya

I love this, but many don't because it's extremely bitter. It's popular all over Asia and here in Japan it is thought of as "Okinawa food". Often cooked with pork, or in my case, with scrambled eggs, tofu and a bit of gravy as チャンプルー (chanpuru). China is a big influence on Okinawan food, obviously, so I'm not sure whether the eggs and gravy is usual in China or just an Okinawan adaptation.
