Dancing Lady - behind the scenes (1933)

The Three Stooges (clockwise from left, Larry Fine, Moe Howard and Jerome "Curly" Howard) and Ted Healy (w/ hat) pose with their co-star Clark Gable during a break in filming.

Their act was first known as "Ted Healy & His Stooges", with Healy in the "boss" role that Moe would take in the later version of the act. Ego clashes with Healy as well as his increasing alcoholism, led to the Stooges splitting from him and going off on their own in 1937.
