Architect & Engineer Santiago Calatrava Vais.
This bridge provides a pedestrian connection between dike 3 and the Madero Port. It has a rotation system, which allows traffic of boats to go through the dike.
It measures 160 meters in length by 5 meters of width.
The bridge cost was $6 million dollars, donated by the Gonzalez family who live in Spain.
The architect designed the bridge as a metaphor of the Tango dance. The man is represented in the bridge by the tower section, and the woman is the horizontal part of the bridge, united together like a tango couple is while they dance.
