Mackinac Bridge
Five miles long, the Mackinac bridge connects the upper peninsula of Michigan to the lower "mitten" of Michigan. Last year My wife and I made the historic bridge walk with our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, along with thousands of others. Someone told me that the Labor-Day walk symbolized evacuating the "U.P." down to "civilization" before winter sets in. Labor Day, 2005
