Athens Olympic Velodrome

Calatarava added a roof to the existing Veledrome and thru this it was radically transformed. Aonther 'signature' job of the Spanish engineer-architect.

The Velodrome roof structure is composed of two 45 metre high arches, weighing 4,000 tons, from which the glass and steel roof is hanging. It provides seating for 5,250 spectators with a 250 m track, banking up to 42º.
