Moffat Tunnel

The Moffat Tunnel is a railroad and water tunnel that cuts through the Continental Divide. David Moffat, a Colorado railroad pioneer, was seeking an easier route from Denver to Salt Lake City. The tunnel opened in 1928. Trains still travel through this tunnel today. I had just missed a coal train coming out of the that has been added to the photo bucket list!
