The Warsaw Uprising Museum

Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego (Warsaw Uprising Museum) is a museum dedicated to resistance movement in Poland during Nazi occupation from 1939-1945, culminating with the failed 1944 Warsaw Uprising that lead to some of the fiercest fighting of the war, but ultimately lead to the complete destruction of the entire city of Warsaw under Hitler's orders. The museum houses many artifacts from the pre-war and occupation periods, as well as many pieces from the actually uprising.
