In late seventies and eighties I worked as a staff photo journalist in most popular weekly illustrated magazines in Warsaw, Poland. (ITD, Razem, Na Przelaj, MM Music Magazine) As young witnesses of gloomy polish realty reality at that time – me and my friends photographers – we tried to “keep watchful eye on socialism” and show influence and burden of this system on Pole's life.

Young pilgrim shot express the hope and resistance of the nation which at that time were mostly kept by strong religious tradition and devotion to the polish Pope, John Paul II.
