Bottle Tree (8"x10" Crop)

A difficult subject to photograph because of its size (and weight).

 

The sun was bright and there were few locations we could put it in. I decided against putting it in the shade, and instead put it out in the sun using a couple of flashes and a gold reflector to bring out the details. The tree was fixed to two very long 2"x4"s to stop it falling over, so a liberal amount of retouching was needed.

 

The temperatures were in the low nineties and it was very humid. By the time I'd finished taking pictures both I and the camera were drenched in sweat.
