Yesterday I went bird hunting together with Dennis Rademaker whom I met a month ago at the Veluwe.
Luck was on our side when we started off at the Oostvaardersplassen, a Nature Reserve in the centre of Holland. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most co-operative Buzzard I've ever met! Totally at ease and undisturbed, he even caught 3 mice while we were standing right next to him!
Next we got tipped off on the location of a Tawny Owl up north in the Netherlands and went looking for it. Guess it was a pretty wild idea to go driving 100 miles just on a vague description, but the fact that you are now looking at it, obviously means we found it :-)
Ended the day at the Veluwe to see the Red Deer, which completed a fantastic day.
ps. Please join me in welcoming Dennis on Flickr. I'm pretty sure that once he'll start uploading more pictures to his brandnew account, you'll agree that his photographs are well worth the visit!
