Joint Combat Demonstration in Shizafon, January 2011
The joint combat demonstration is a display of the Ground Forces' capabilities, in which Officer School Cadets from the infantry, engineering, armoured and artillery corps perform exercises that combine various and diverse combat techniques. These include: urban warfare, a complex obstacle course, artillery support and invasion techniques, along with aerial support from the IAF which include medical evacuations and aerial dropped supplies.

As part of the event, following the demonstration, an honorary guard was held for Lt. Gen. Ashkenazi. Upon conclusion of the visit, soldiers and commanders of the Ground Forces Command bid farewell to the chief of the General Staff by exhibiting a special exercise, combining all aspects of the ground forces.
