On Tuesday, February 15th, the International Red Cross (IRC) began the export of apples grown in Israel to Syria. The IDF was responsible for escorting and securing the crossing of IRC trucks alongside the Syrian border.

Over the next few weeks, 30 trucks, carrying 12,000 tons of apples will cross into Syria every day.
