Ole and Britte Husabö Chest

"In 1866 when Ole and Britte Husabö and their five children sailed from Leikanger, Sognefjord, Norway, they carried this chest. The journey was so long that they shared their dried fish and flatbread, some perhaps stored in this chest, with the crew and other passengers. Rosemaling in the Sognefjord style decorates the chest. -- Arther and Doris Huseboe Collection, Center for Western Studies"
