OY-APR Boeing 737-5L9 Maersk Air CPH 16AUG00

Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version 02-Sep-18.

First flown with the Boeing test registration N1786B, this aircraft was delivered to Maersk Air as OY-APR in Oct-98. It was sold to a lessor in Nov-01 and leased back to Maersk Air. It was returned to the lessor in Jun-04 and leased to CSA Czech Airlines as OK-DGC a week later. The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Jun-07 and immediately leased to AeroSvit (Ukraine) as UR-VVQ. AeroSvit ceased operations in Feb-13 and the lease was transferred to Ukraine International Airlines. It was returned to the lessor in Nov-13 and stored at Bournemouth, UK. In Oct-14 the aircraft was re-registered N292GL with Wells Fargo Bank Northwest (Trustee) and remained stored. It was noted at Bournemouth in Aug-15, now repainted in Azman Air livery (Nigeria) but remained stored.

It was sold to European Aviation in Apr-16 and transferred to Southern Aircraft Consultancy on the same day. The aircraft was eventually sold to Azman Air as 5N-AIS in Nov-16. It was temporarily stored at Kano, Nigeria in Mar-20 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Current, updated (Apr-20).
