I replaced the motor and had to get a new 3ph switch ( all 268.00 worth!)
It is a magnetic and is in new condition just dusty.
This saw was purchased in 1989 , it had babbitt bearings which needed to be redone and would cost just a tad less than making a ballbearing ways for the shaft to do away with the babbitt (lead mode). I got new pulleys and 5hp 3ph motor
a 3ph Toshiba switch, new Carter guides (Upper & Lower) ,
new "tires", machined the top down true and built the cage, painted it and used it until 2003 sporadically.
