Kata Lens Test
Another test with the new 50mm f/1.8 lens. I asked Sensei Miller to run a kata after class, and used only the available light in the dojo. It was an overcast day, and there are a few fluorescent bulbs overhead.
I'm happy with the result, as I was able to fire off several shots in burst mode to capture the kata. However, it's still a little soft when I zoom all the way in. I don't know if that's the best the lens is able to focus in that light, or if that's just as good as the lens glass is. I'll have to do some outdoor shots with better light and some flash-assisted shots to test that theory.
(Wow. For a second there, it almost sounded like I know what I'm talking about.)
