Washington DC's World War I Memorial
Day 117 of 366
Today isn’t a “What is it” Picture and it is a picture taken while I was working!! The company I work for partnered with the National Park Service and helped out with the Junior Ranger Program on the National Mall in DC today. It was allot of fun helping the kids make new friends with their new bears today. We were close to the DC WW I memorial and the Dogwood trees and the Azaleas were in bloom around it. This isn’t a National memorial it is for the DC men that fought in the First World War. I liked the couple sitting by the steps and the girl running around enjoying the nice spring day. I was also able to meet the Present’s sister Dorothy Walker Bush Koch, often called "Doro," she is a very nice lady. Also there was the Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne we helped him and Dorothy both make bear too!!
