School Street Grade Crossing Eliminated and Road Reopened

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul announces the reopening of School Street in the Village of Westbury and Hamlet of New Cassel. on Fri., November 13, 2020.

 

The street reopened as an underpass that separates it from the Long Island Rail Road Main Line, making it the fifth railroad crossing elimination completed in the past 14 months - on time and on budget - as part of the LIRR Expansion Project.
