The mighty Oxbow.
These pictures were taken at an Oxbow live performance at San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill nightclub. As accurate documents of what the band looks like, they're not so great. As an attempt to capture the experience of seeing and hearing Oxbow perform, it's probably about as accurate as it gets without seeing their brilliant and seamy performance documentary Oxbow writes raw, gut-level blues-based noise rock, and Eugene Robinson puts on a wrenching, confrontational live performance every time he plays, even if he doesn't end up stripping down to his jockey shorts and dry-humping hecklers. Something about these photos strikes me as Gigeresque, which seems about right.
