The events of the first Easter Sunday are represented in this fresco: Christ rises from the dead; the three women come to the tomb early in the morning and find it empty, and the Risen Lord Jesus appears to St Mary Magdalene, and he tells her to give the good news of the Resurrection to his apostles.
