Hocking Valley Scenic Railway "City of Athens"
A combine car sits on the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway storage track in Nelsonville, Ohio as a volunteer guides a spotting movement to thr right.
The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has operated on former C&O trackage deep in southeastern Ohio for over 30 years. The railroad offers weekend excursions throughout the year using a fleet of early 20th-century commuter cars, open-air gondolas and cabooses pulled by vintage EMD diesels. I'd ridden this train before as a young child (they had steam back then), and it was still as entertained 25 years later. Highly recommended!
