Sunrises and sunsets in Africa are unforgettable moments. Images that we are so fond of that are kept forever in our memories.
At the time I took this shot, back in 2013, I just had a D300 that I was using on a full auto mode, shooting simple JPEG’s. No full-frame, no filters, no tripod, no bracketing, no RAW files, no post-processing, etc.
Today, when I revisit those images I deeply regret that, because now there isn’t much that I can do to post-process them. But, even with all those limitations, some of them are so impressive in their utter beauty, that with the help of a new software that gives some extra latitude in post-processing JPEG’s, I’ve decided to post this sunset photo.
Looking at it, you will certainly realize why I’m so fond of these memories, even if the image's tech specs aren't stunning (a sensor of just 12 megapixel, limited dynamic range and ISO management, ...),
