Dogpatch
Took off one evening a couple of weeks ago with Miles to check out the historic Dogpatch district in SF. Much of it has been gentrified over the years, but there are still some mostly-inaccessible historical cranes and warehouses. Found a hole in a fence and eeped into one of the warehouses - really amazing inside, with light pouring through broken roofs and windows, and nature trying to reclaim the space. Broken down belt-driven machinery, dusty lofts filled with purple light, and a tangle of hoses, ropes, cables and of course the ubiquitous graffiti. Thought it would just be a neighborhood stroll, turned into an unexpectedly amazing adventure.
