Celebrate World Photography Day the Flickr way–enter our photo contest! We’re taking submissions through August 25.
Kendrick Park, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA.
I caught up with Jon Swift, astrophysicist-turned-rockstar (seriously) in the middle of his 2011 Northwest Tour and stole a couple hours from him to shoot. This is a little teaser of some of the work we did in what turned out to be one of my favorite music shoots yet.
This is an eight frame vertical composite. I started by shooting Jon in a pose I liked then worked from left to right picking up the other frames. A little post-production merging later... and we've got depth of field o'plenty. This probably doesn't make a lot of sense until you blow it up larger.
Flash:
SB-80DX, 28" softbox, high camera right.

As always, 101 thanks to Megan who helped come up with our looks and walked me through our shoot!
Jon Swift
While you’re here, stop by and visit the world of Jahrensy, my trusty second shooter and partner in crime on this, that and another misadventure.
