You can see here which parts of the prison closed first (H Block 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8) and which bits were kept open till the end (H Blobk 3 and 4). There were 7 prisoners in each block when the prison closed. Also, note the letters written inside each of the H Blocks - they indicate which organization that wing was for: INLA (Irish National Liberation Army), UVF (Ulster Volunteer Force), UDA (Ulster Defence Association), PIRA (Provisional IRA - Irish Republican Army). Because of the obvious violence between these organizations, they were kept strictly seperated in the prison.
