Youssoff and his brothers are older than most of the boys living in the camps, there aren't any other boys their age. The rest were killed in Darfur, they never made it out. Youssoff is one of only seven children that survived the attack on his village. His mother, Fatna, carried his youngest brother on her back. His father was killed in the market, and Fatna watched him die.
During our most recent visit to the camp, we found Youssoff helping build a brick hut for his family. It will replace the plastic tent they have been living in for the past five years. But like many families, they do not have enough food, water or clothing. Like all Darfuri's they want to return home.
