White Sands in Southern New Mexico is off the beaten path. You have to know the sand dunes exist and then you must make an effort to get there. You've seen the sea of white in movies, music videos, and ad campaigns. You may have even seen Brad Pitt's painful looking photo shoot in GQ Magazine accompanying his redemption article after his split from Angeline Jolie. If you did see the article, I'm sorry this could have been your introduction to a landscape larger than Brad will ever be.

White Sands always fascinated me on the ground. I often found myself amongst the dunes when I needed to clear my head, understand the world or to simply take a deep breath. Someone once told me White Sands touches my soul and I believe this to be true. The landscape is unforgiving and what seems to be endless waves of white sand dunes amongst the brown Chihuahua Desert in the Tularosa Basin. There is a purity to the white gypsum sand accentuated by the Sacramento Mountain range in the background.

If you allow it to be true, White Sands brings balance and understanding to an otherwise nonsensical world. Everything seems to come together and make sense at White Sands. We need this today, don't we?

As I was preparing for my book, "El Paso 120: Edge of the Southwest," I visualized a variety of unique perspectives to photograph this beautiful southwestern landscape. I'd also visit the area at various times of the day for different lighting situations. bit.ly/2v9ljEQ

I handed Ava a picture of Angeline Jolie striking a pose and she came prepared, right down to the ring on her finger. Ava did a great job and I needed 4 lights to do a so so imitation. I think Ava deserves a much better score than me.

Bečići (Cyrillic: Бечићи; Italian Becici) is a town within the municipality of Budva, Montenegro. It is located south-east of Budva, and has 771 permanent residents (2003 census).

Serbs 405 - 52,52% Montenegrins 264 - 34,24%

It has a 1,950m long sandy beach, which is among most beautiful beaches in Montenegro and the southern Adriatic. In 1935 it won the Grand Prix in Paris as the most beautiful beach in Europe.

In contrast to Budva's large number of private housing units, Bečići town mostly consists of medium and large hotels. Some of them, such as the Mediteran, Iberostar Bellevue and Queen of Montenegro have been extensively refurbished, while the most significant greenfield addition was the Hotel Splendid, a luxurious five-star resort that cost 70 million euros to build. It was the choice of The Rolling Stones and Madonna as well as Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie during their stay in Montenegro.

Ayer estuve viendo la pelicula "El Turista" con Angeline Jolie y Johnny Depp con unas bellas locaciones enVenecia. Me motivaron a volver a ver mis fotos de Venecia y escoger algunas para flickr.

Yesterday I was seeing the movie "The Tourist" with Angeline Jolie and Johnny Depp with beautiful locations in Venice. This moved me to see again my photos of Venice and choose some of them for flickr.

Love this figure. Finally someone released a proper Lara Croft figure. I’d love it even more to have a realistic 1/6 scale Classic Lara, but Angelina Jolie just nailed classic Lara in the movie anyway.

So I might as well say that owning this piece is owning a Classic Lara Croft figure.

I ordered her quite late (“thanks” to China scams), so it came out quite expensive.

For the price I’ve paid – she could and should be much cheaper, but well…IT’S LARA BLOODY CROFT! I’d pay any money to get her.

Headsculpt is great. I love how Pop Toys gave her a real braid. It blends well with sculpted details of her hair of the head. Likeness is there, thank you very much.

Face paint is great. No complaints. There’s no difference between the one on hand and what’s on promo photos at all. Just set the right lighting and there you go.

Some complain that likeness to Angelina Jolie is not there.

I can definitely tell it’s Angelina Jolie, and it is definitely Lara Croft. Eye color is somewhere in between hazel and brown (or you can say it’s light brown), which I count as a plus. Angie is beautiful the way she is, but I prefer Lara as she always was and will be for me – brown-eyed.

Accessories are pure joy: belt, hip holsters, dual pistols (hate that rebooted Lara hasn’t got those), backpack (which, in fact, has zippers and place for storage), light stick, watch bracelet (executed really cool), stand, ammo magazine holder (ammo clips and smoke grenades are removable). Besides, the top lid of the box turns into a diorama background, plus the floor piece for the background is also included(which I decided not to unpack)

Deluxe Edition gets you an addition of: interchangeable seamless legs, shorts, socks, artifact (Triangle of Light, 2 pieces, just like in the movie), and base stand with light effects (batteries included). Base is modeled after the first action sequence of the movie – S.I.M.O.N. robot’s upper body, or what’s left of it after Lara had a death round of training.

I like my Lara to be accurate to the movie. Angeline Jolie did wear shorts, but with sleeveless tank-top only on the movie poster. In the movie itself shorts were the part of a training gear, which was assembled a bit differently, so I decided to leave Ms Croft in pants.

Poseability is great, it seems that seamless legs and arms have a metal frame in them.

Side note: guns' shutters do move, but you have to apply some force, gently, to crack them to move back. Some plastic piece\residue\no-idea-what doesn't allow them to freshly out of the box, but if you crack it - they start to slide easily.

Also it really gets on my nerves seeing people attaching hip holsters backwards...Watch the movie, observe the construction...
