A stone-carved burial site. Tau tau (effigies of the deceased) were put in the cave, looking out over the land.
There are three methods of burial: the coffin may be laid in a cave or in a carved stone grave, or hung on a cliff. It contains any possessions that the deceased will need in the afterlife. The wealthy are often buried in a stone grave carved out of a rocky cliff. The grave is usually expensive and takes a few months to complete. In some areas, a stone cave may be found that is large enough to accommodate a whole family.

Borobudur, or Barabudur, is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist Temple in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome. The temple is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa. It is the world's largest Buddhist temple as well as one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world.
UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982.

Onbegrijpelijk sukses.
Omdat ik logés kreeg, en daardoor geen tijd had om verse foto's te maken, had ik wat oude dia's uit een oude doos gehaald om te uploaden. Nauwelijks bewerkt en er verder niet naar gekeken. Zie ik vandaag (de logé's zijn vandaag iets voor zichzelf aan het doen) tot mijn grote verbazing dat deze foto inmiddels al 435 hits heeft gekregen, op nummer 9 de Front Page van Explore heeft gestaan en al 62 keer is gefaved.
Deze foto had ik bij uploaden aan geen enkele group toevertrouwd en toch wordt hij uitbundig bekeken.
