Iron FE Number 26 on the Periodic Table. Macro Mondays Theme.
The fence is literally older than 100 years. Made during Austro-Hungarian occupation as a part of the old barracks. Now it is protected as a cultural heritage of the City of Banja Luka.

Iron is soft
A close up of a couple of loose iron fences with some turquoise spray paint. A platform of wood painted in light blue is laying down in the background.
With these pastel colors and the bokeh the iron looks soft like fabric to me.

Nach all den bunten Bildern mal wieder etwas ohne Farbe. Mich erinnert die Struktur an Wellen, darum habe ich es Iron Waves genannt. Erkennt jemand was das ist?

The Iron Road was installed along a stretch of disused railway embankment deep in the Forest of Dean.
Twenty evenly spaced railway sleepers placed on the gentle curve of a disused railway line bring the spirit of the Forest’s industrial past to life.
Carved out of the wood are poetic images of natural or industrial life-a feather, a leaf, a wheel, a factory or a cloud.
The jar with water pouring out refers to the stream running under the embankment. The wood is a Eucalyptus called Jarrah, and the sleepers were obtained from the London underground.
A carver of wood and stone, Keir Smith worked on The Iron Road for almost a year
Iron rusts from disuse; water loses its purity from stagnation... “Nature is the source of all true knowledge. She has her own logic, her own laws, she has no effect without cause nor invention without necessity.” - by Leonardo da Vinci
What a contrast we have here, which the daisy as pure life of glowing out in the radiant beauty in the sunshine of delicacy and on the other hand the Iron, just glimmers out the charm of decay of rustic age, that is peeling away and shows us the textures of the sweet life to us!
Many times I have walked by, this spot on the Castle Fields Boat Docks of the Black Country Museum. And this time I spotted these side-by-side together that was bedded in concrete, of an Iron bar standing so proudly with this charming daisy and overlooking the Narrowboats, that lies in the graveyard of the canal boats around here.
The beauty we have photography that can be created by the simplest things, that lies around us and yet we tend to overlook what possibility that arise!

" … And maybe it's true I'm caught up on you
Maybe there's a chance you're stuck on me too
Maybe I'm wrong it's all in my head
Maybe we're afraid of words we both hadn't said
Like I really want you
I think I need you
Maybe I miss you
I'm thinking of you
Like I really want you
I think I need you
Maybe I miss you
I'm thinking of you …"

Two Montana Rail Link helper sets combined for the trip down Mullan Pass pass through Iron Ridge and the original tunnel/alignment. The helpers would end up going to Helena and calling it a day by 15:00. What a great morning it was though.

Our last stop of the day after hiking at Mt. St. Helens was Iron Creek Falls. Another popular swimming hole. We were lucky getting here later in the afternoon. Most people were clearing out and the sun was dipping behind the trees and ridge to the west, so we were able to photograph this lovely little waterfall.
Iron Gate shot in Charleston, SC I think, beautiful old building with ornamental iron fence, shot on film, in South Carolina.
A shot of some cast iron buildings on Broome St in the SoHo district of Manhattan. There are 26 blocks with approximately 500 buildings in SoHo,with about 250 of them incorporating cast-iron architectural elements (mostly on the façades). The district came to the public's attention for being an area that had artist's lofts and art galleries during the 1960s.The artists were attracted to the high ceilings and large windows used to display their works.Today,SoHo consists mostly of a variety of shops ranging from upscale trendy boutiques to national and international chain store outlets. In 2010 there were three times as many boutiques than at galleries. Many of the chain stores are on Broadway, about three blocks north of this shot and runs between Houston St in the east and Canal St in the west.SoHo was designated NYC-Cast Iron Historic District landmark in 1973.

I don't think it's actually iron, but it is metal, and it stands in front of the butterfly enclosure at a local nature center. Maybe they oughta call the place A-Gadda-Da-Vida... :-)

My take on this weeks "Texture" theme for Macro Monday. I tiny iron bird that is part of a large hanging water & bird feeder in my garden. The rust and the cobwebs have taken over. HMM - #texture
Woops - I have now removed this from the MM group as I had missed the rule ref date taken after announcement by a few days. Rules are rules so only fair I say...

The Iron Bridge is a cast iron arch bridge that crosses the River Severn in Shropshire, England. Opened in 1781, it was the first major bridge in the world to be made of cast iron, and was greatly celebrated after construction owing to its use of the new material.
In 1934 it was designated a scheduled monument and closed to vehicular traffic. Tolls for pedestrians were collected until 1950, when ownership of the bridge was transferred to Shropshire County Council. It now belongs to Telford and Wrekin Borough Council. The bridge, the adjacent settlement of Ironbridge and the Ironbridge Gorge form the UNESCO Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. The bridge is a Grade I listed building, and a waypoint on the South Telford Heritage Trail.
