Hey! Police Officers. There are human people partying over here.
Nobody likes a squealer. But these are scary times. The fes times recently that I have gone by schools have all the kids in fairly large groups hanging out. This worries me greatly.
I have nothing like an umbrella image for SoS. Just the way it is.
Hope it made you smile on Saturday anyways.
This vehicle's correct, technical name was the Hover Over Town Force Uniform Zoomer or HOT-FUZ. It was basically a large engine, with a small platform for the pilot. The vehicle featured the distinctive Battenburg markings and blue flashing lights of the Police. However, it's size made it ideal for urban and city patrols and pursuits and the vehicle remained popular and ubiquitous for many years.

December 13th is the anniversary of the martial law introduced in Poland in 1981 by the communist regime. A peaceful protest rally was organised in Warsaw by the Women's Strike (Strajk Kobiet). It ended near the villa of the country de facto ruler, Jarosław Kaczyński, which was "defended" by 82 police vans and riot police in full gear. The irony is dead.
The police had an eye in the sky.
The helicopter was circling for quite a while.

The Police were a British rock band formed in London in 1977. For most of their history the band consisted of Sting (lead vocals, bass guitar, primary songwriter), Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion). The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new-wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz. Considered one of the leaders of the Second British Invasion of the US, in 1983 Rolling Stone labelled them "the first British New Wave act to break through in America on a grand scale, and possibly the biggest band in the world." The Police disbanded in 1986, but reunited in early 2007 for a one-off world tour that ended in August 2008. (From Wikipedia)

Police on bicycles and in cars trail the peaceful protestors as they march on Michigan Avenue. Photographed from my condo window.
Apparently the police had a busy night last night releasing and then re-arresting pro-democracy protest leaders while other leaders made anti-government speeches to their supporters in the police station parking lot.
London Classic Car Show-Olympia Exhibition Centre.
From 1922 to 1969 Wolseley Motor cars were the favoured motor manufacture of most Police Forces throughout the UK.
Especially the Metropolitan Police, the Wolseley 6/80 manufactured between 1948 and 1954 become their firm favourite.
These cars were always the stars of early television Cops and Robbers films and dramas.
The heavily commented on, and mentioned in news - world wide, a recent banner installed June 1st on the Sterling Heights police station wall. The new “To Serve And Protect” banner/mural has stirred up much controversy in the city of Sterling Heights and the surrounding areas. Even the artist is upset about the installation and wants it taken down. This was a collaborative effort started over 2 years ago with the Detroit Institute of Arts' Partners in Public Art Program. Today while shooting photos, I noticed that one of the 8 inch tiles had been removed. I’m not sure which one. But recent news says it was the Punisher tile. Well, at least the city has been put on the map, with newspapers as far as India reporting the social media storm.

The 2020 car show season has been a little thin on the ground due to one thing and another. This late 1970s Ford Granada MkII decked out in police livery is part of a local classic car group who had one last autumn outing on a sunny October afternoon.
The construction works site is for the Police Cantonment Complex extension along New Bridge Road.
Quick shot from the hip, someone "assisting" the police with their enquiries, as they say, looked like a car pulled over for a word, very quick and dirty snap as I was walking by
