Otherwise known as "Uh oh...now I'm in trouble." as I lust over the $800 spinning wheel. If anyone wants to buy it for me, it's the Ashford Elizabeth II. It's very pretty.

Gray Corriedale spun on Ashford Elizabeth in singles

About a year ago, I started pestering Richard Ashford to make me a 30" Elizabeth. It finally arrived about a month ago and will be released as a limited edition for delivery in a couple of months. This wheel is everything I was hoping for and more.

I just brought those babies home on saturday. The one on the right is a Peacock wheel from New Zealand, so tiny. The one on the left, the lady told me it's Ashford Elizabeth, but I'm not sure, if anyone knows what kind of wheel is it, please, let me know.

This is Ashford's Limited edition 30 inch Elizabeth II with gold leaf in the groves of the wheel and her name on the front in pears.

NOAH'S ARK

This was an experiment of mine to try different fibers. It started with a sample of delicious angora/merino/alpaca that was given to me at MIAF this year by a fellow spinner. It had brown/black/white and was lovely. I spun the 1/2 oz and wanted more so I added some of my black huacaya (Midnight Aire) then some brown huacaya from 4 Musketeers. Got sassy and decided to add some white yak I bought to sample (that was interesting to spin) then started to rotate the three colors. I plyed it with Sugar's Chestnut (suri from my farm).

I wanted a fun blend using the angora blend I bought at Fiber Expo this year. After blending the fushia with black I decided to try it with gray and LOVE IT!

I am hand processing Metallica so...I need to get busy combing so I can spin more of this blend because the mix of angora/merino/suri is delicious!
