Coronavirus is an objective problem, but it can be defeated. We have to follow virtuous behavior and avoid acting in a subjective way. We must temporarily give up a life of society, but the stakes are high. Perhaps, the virus will serve, if ever, to rebuild a collective and supportive fabric that we are slowly losing. Let's team up, without speculation, without geographical or political borders. Unity will make strength!
Coronavirus has changed our lives, and we all have suffered in this pandemic. We are very sorry for the people effected very deeply!

Yes, that's an AnglerFish with the teeth, a virus, (apparently scientists "go fishing" in the lab), and the blue beads represent DNA. Sadly, its not quite round, but Peter, bless him, is not quite a perfectionist!! And this is how he wanted it to stay!

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No, I won't be afraid
Oh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me
So darlin', darlin'
Stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand, stand by me
Stand by me
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me
And darlin', darlin'
Stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand now, stand by me
Stand by me
Darlin', darlin'
Stand by me, oh, stand by me
Oh, stand now, stand by me
Stand by me
Whenever you're in trouble, won't you stand by me?
Oh, stand by me
Won't you stand now?
Oh, stand, stand by me

This mural in Belfast predates the current crisis but it made me think of the Coronavirus, especially with the splatter on the ground!
As we are only allowed one period exercise per day wandering around with the camera is a thing of the past, hopefully temporarily.
Burned by fate, a flower born to blush unseen
and waste his sweetness in the pandemic fires.
Borrowed from the work of William Lee Miller.

The coronavirus is in Belgium, just like it is everywhere. Bruges is quiet, peaceful and unbelievably beautiful ... Restaurants, museums and most shops are closed and I felt it was safer to walk around there than to walk in a wood - ironically, they are crowded now.
This is the Church of Our Lady, seen from the Old Saint John's Hospital, with a flowering magnolia as centrepiece. And no people, no-one ...

Normal. Normality. A day out. Shopping going mad. Toilet paper gone. Pasta gone. Searching for eggs. Can't be true. It is true.
Financial Times is openly inquiring if EU is losing Italy. And for all the good reasons. I can tell you that I’m enraged by the total indifference displayed by some countries in showing solidarity. Whatever good measures EU will adopt… it has already lost credibility. EU’s reputation is damaged beyond repair. Whatever financial solution EU will offer… it is too late. Sometimes the thought counts more than the gesture itself. Whatever intervention EU will decide… will not erase the humiliation of leaving Italy in waiting for 15 days. And will still smell of betrayal. You don’t invest in skyscrapers or dykes, it’s a question of saving lives. Simple as. Therefore staying in this paradigm of EU’s silence and inaction would be a historical mistake.
