Temple Bar. Sun reaching into an alley. ...

Out of sight. Rarely passed. Worried and worn and flailed by the wind and rain of middle Ireland. Fading.

Stacked. Odd symmetry.

Gap Filler - #ChchSwing

#chchswing are two giant swings that are part of the Fletcher Living and Gap Filler Placemaking at One Central Programme. The project was the initiated by Gap Filler with Bounce (a charity supporting youth well being, through Red Cross NZ) and able to be realised in the city as part of the Placemaking at One Central programme.

This oversized perspective swing is one of a kind installation in the central city. Set up perfectly for taking photos that will trick the mind in just how big or small you really are, as well as the real time thrill of swinging on a large swing.

All that's left is stubble where two days ago stood the heavy headed wheat.

Imagen tomada en Francia en 2005. Disparo en automático y retocada para aumentar la saturación. La fotografía no fue preparada, y la tomé casualmente mientras paseabamos por la playa.

This little thing is only about 4 cm's tall. It contains a collection of old English songs. I can't find its year of publication but maybe it's age can be estimated from the lines of this, now gloriously politically incorrect, dirge;

Love is Blind.....

Often thus when men deceive,

silly maids to love inclin'd,

will too readily believe,

for love, true love, alas! is blind;

My old books sit warmly around me. Soft, warm to touch and the smell of decades .... a pure comfort.

Moss growing on a brick wall.

the series goes from left to right, capturing the sunset in the west, the streets running north and final capture depicts the east river.
