Grand Canyon Arizona USA
This is an HDR shot of Grand central Station, New York. I took the wide view to get the scale of the building in, it actually reminded of a Cathederal and that is why I went for the HDR.The shot was taken about 7 on a Saturday morning so it was not that busy, there were more people than this though, but they were blurred by the long exposure and the HDR process so I decided to take them out during processing, again to emphasise the scale.
Last years trip to Grand Island. I had around 30 pictures that had been saved to a laptop that crashed. I was lucky enough to have a friend retrieve them for me recently Made my day, because, that was a great trip!

A view from the South Rim of the Colorado River cutting it's way through the Grand Canyon in the State of Arizona U.S.A.
One of the famous barns in Grand Teton national Park. Autumn was late this year so we still had some beautiful colors in the trees in late October.
Last step into this journey along the North shore of the St. Lawrence river, la Mauricie, Grandes-Piles and the St. Maurice river. Fall colors are passed their peak, and the bad weather conditions are a precursor to the coming winter.
Happy New Year to all!
The Midway Geyser Basin's Grand Prismatic Spring, the largest hot spring in the United States, approximately 370 feet in size and around 121 feet deep. Its rainbow waters are what really make it fascinating: While the center is blue, encircling with the deep reds, bright yellows and fiery oranges. The vivid colors in the spring are the result of microbial mats around the edges of the mineral-rich water. In the summer, the mats tend to be orange and red, whereas in the winter the mats are usually dark green. Each ring creates a very different environment inhabited by different types of bacteria. And it's the different types of bacteria that give the spring its prismatic colors. The color of the bacteria is determined by the temperature of the water. The photo was taken around the edges of Prismatic Spring…
The Grand River near Chillicothe, Missouri was flooding, but a levee surrounding the farmland was keeping the silo and barn safe. Texture courtesy of Lenabem-Anna
I flipped the texture horizontally.
The colors of the Grand Canyon constantly change throughout the day and seasons.
Most rock layers contain iron, which imparts subtle hues of green, yellow, and red to the canyon walls.

I've been on a bit of a Yellowstone kick of late as I'm starting to plan our trips for 2016. One of my favorite features at Yellowstone (so far) is the Grand Prismatic Spring. The sheer immensity of the spring coupled with its vivid colors make it a must see in the park. There is a boardwalk that allows visitors to experience it up close and personal, but I believe it is best viewed from above. We hiked a trail that leads to an overlook which allows you to see the spring in all its colorful glory. The abstract patterns of the rust colored bacteria and the shades of blue in the water are just breathtaking! Such an amazing place!

This ancient Pinyon Pine (Pinus edulis) looks like it has been standing guard over the Grand Canyon south rim in Arizona for a long time. I only had one day but I did snap 300+ photos!
The sun setting over the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. This is one of the most beautiful and awe inspiring places on the earth. The peace and tranquillity felt here at any time is amazing but the colour and shadows on the rock formations at sun set take your breath away.
It is the third largest source of thermal energy on earth. It is located in Yellowstone Nationalpark (USA)

Grand Hotel in Sopot, Poland was originally built in 1924–1927 at a cost of 20 million Danzig gulden, as the most refined hotel in Sopot - the Kasino Hotel.
The Grand Hotel/Sofitel Grand Hotel, is located at the seaside of the Gdańsk Bay, in the heart of the town and next to the beach. Sofitel Grand Hotel has been totally refurbished during the last years, the classical atmosphere from the earlier period is still present and the hotel is now both classical, and modern.
This photo was taken from the pier. It was misty, as often is close to the sea.
If you ever visit Sopot, have a coffee or lunch there. It is a lovely place.
Just for viewing ... I disabled the comments. Thank you :)
It was a cloudy day. Just an hour or so after sunrise. The sunrise was disappointing, however, I stuck around a little while to see if I could get a little more light and white clouds. The setting was at Schwabacher's Landing near Jackson Hole, Wyoming with the Tetons for the background. I was able to get a few good reflections. Hope you enjoy it.
